Style Fits Early Intervention
On the eve of Nov. 29 Aphrodite moved a chunk of the store and all of our staff to John and Ania Krawczyk’s fabulous house on the shores of Pictou County where we were greeted by a houseful of guests who came to see our fashion show and to support the Pictou County Early Intervention Program led by Pat Lord. Modelling the outfits are some of the residents of the area plus our own sales associates who not only look good in the clothes but they know how to make our customers look good too! We couldn’t have had more fun and I thank John and Ania for their gracious hospitality and all of the wonderful friends who supported the event! As I spoke of this event my friend Flora Doehler quipped “a Tupperware party on steroids”. Have a look.

Jingle Bells by Andrea Wittgens
On another note, Andrea Wittgens, the daughter of our friend Fran Wittgens from Antigonish, is now living in New York furthering her career as a singer songwriter. She has compiled her own adaptation of Jingle Bells that was just bought by Disney for one of its productions. Andrea has produced three CDs all of which we are now selling at Aphrodite along with some others by our patron Goddess Laura Smith and the next generation of incredible talent from the region – Shameaois MacLead and Molly Thomason. The CD’s make great stocking stuffers!
