The Antigonish Downtown Business Association held another great event!
On December 8 we spent all of Saturday having fun and being foolish. Downtown merchants dressed badly and had special events going on in their stores. St.James United Church opened their doors as the choir sang Christmas Carols. Santa Claus even showed up and did his rounds on Main Street. The highlight was the Doggie Fashion Show on our front lawn hosted by Katie Jamieson’s Happy Dogs. Over 30 entrants competed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes that were awarded by Happy Dogs, Antigonish 5 – $1.00 and Shabby Shutters who also created the very crafty ribbons. I haven’t laughed this hard in months as badly behaved dogs in Christmas suits checked each other out! Then just as we thought the fun would never end, Scrooge showed up and tried to cancel Christmas. Jeremy Webb is Scrooge in the Bauer Theatre’s presentation – A Christmas Carol. But we wouldn’t let him – no matter how hard he tried to persuade merchants and their customers. Here we go……
What a hoot! Great photos. It was a lot of fun.
I wish I’d been there!!!!
Oh it looks like a great time was had by all!
