Since Aphrodite opened last March I have come to realize how much some of our customers depend on us for wardrobe advice – and we love to get creative with helping them find new ways to accent what they already own by just adding a piece or two.  Now that the busy Christmas season is over and the sales are on it’s an excellent time to revisit your wardrobe and find new ways to update and spruce it up. No doubt you have some great items in your closet that are timeless and classic. But that beautiful black skirt just doesn’t work anymore with the wide shouldered silk blouse from the 90’s. So we invite you to pull out some of your favourite pieces and bring them in for a  complimentary wardrobe consultation. If we don’t have what you need then we can probably tell you what to get and where. And hopefully you will find some great new items at Aphrodite too at sale prices discounted up to 40% as we make room for new spring stock.

Our full prices at Aphrodite are actually lower than you will find at other retail stores in big cities like Montreal, Toronto and New York. That’s because we are not paying the gargantuan rents and overheads that are demanded of big city properties. This means we can afford to operate at a much lower mark-up than those standard in big city retailing.

Here’s how to start your wardrobe consultation: It’s best to make an appointment so we can free up one of our staff members for at least an hour. Search your closet for the pieces you know and love and bring them with you. It’s not a bad idea to bring shoes and stockings too so we can work on the whole look.  Trying on a smashing dress with white legs and black ankle socks can spoil the look 🙂 Our mission will be to find some updated and figure-flattering pieces that mix and match with your old favourites and then send you out into the world looking your absolute best for the season – and you save on our winter sale prices.  We can also help you find the perfect jewellery and accessories to knock that outfit out of the ball field. This past year we have brought you numerous fashion shows along with trunk shows that feature a variety of outstanding artisans. Most recently we had an extraordinary event – a presentation and sale of Canada’s own 7 Virtues fragrances queen Barb Stegemann. Here’s a little photo essay that chronicles the event.
