SHAKING CONVENTIONS EVENT
We have been managing fittings with our models all week – and the outfits we are planning for you are simply outstanding! Problem is the models want to buy the outfits they are wearing. You’ll see why on Sunday.
Our staff comprise three of the eight models – they are Laura Donnachie, Mary Connolly and Joan MacDonald. Cori MacInnis is coming back to make our clothes look good and this year we have a special treat with models from our local community and abroad. They are Patricia Gaines and Virginia Scruggs who live part time in East Tracadie along with Linda Benoit from Pomquet and Helene Amiable, longtime friend of Carol Rivoire who has been in Pomquet on an extended stay from her home in Paris, France. We have even outfitted Carol for the occasion. Jean Pearcey will be there to photograph the event. Local restaurants are donating trays of sweets for our afternoon tea. They are Gabrieau’s Bistro, The Brownstone, The Tall and Small, Meyers Tea Room, Dreamcatchers and Little Christo’s. Many thanks to everyone who are donating to the cause. The Arts Health Antigonish (AHA!) will be the recipients of our fundraising event who will use the money to further their community work of healing through the arts. We all benefit!
Please don’t miss this wonderful event to cheer everyone on and support your community at the Old Barn Gallery in Pomquet. There will be plenty of seating for everyone and an opportunity to have tea with friends and feast your eyes on some fabulous fashions brought to you by Aphrodite Art & Fashion. There will be door prizes and other prizes as well.
It’s all happening this Sunday!

Hello Tiiu! from Janette in T.O. …I’m catching up on my week’s emails. Always love to see yours in my inbox. Sounds like your Montreal trip was a success, and that you’ve returned with your arms and heart full 🙂 …wish I was closer so I could attend what sounds like an amazing show at the Barn. Please let us know next time you’re this way! Best, J.
