I can’t help but think that if we could bring citygirl on board to support the merit of spending our dollars locally that her energy and attentiveness could be a positive. So if there’s nothing personal going on here, I’m sending an invite to the anonymous citygirl to send me an email and accept a lunch invite. I’m not an anonymous kind of person so my email is here.
I like your explanation, Tiiu. We all know these realities, but need to act on them. For me, the drive to Halifax is definitely a disincentive, especially in the winter.

Hi Tiiu…for whatever reason, I am going through many of your current and earlier articles and just came across something completely unexpected, this being a nasty comment from what I perceive to be someone called city girl. I found it nasty, rude, disrespectful and in bad taste, and without any merit other than this person seems to be a bitter, small minded person. Personally I would like to throw a pie in her face, but I am here in NY and the pie throwing distance from Brooklyn to where she is at is a bit too far. But it did enter my mind….actually it would be a waste of a perfectly good pie even if would have improved her ugly face by covering it up……..So there!!!! Daniel
