Well my driveway has not yet been ploughed – has yours? So there was no getting to the store today. Instead I went for an unfh type walk – what is the sound you make when each step requires a major effort because the snow is up to your thighs. Remember Harry who works at the store? Well here he is up to his chest and looking more like a short legged weasel than a dog.
We made it up to Anne’s house – remember her? Anne also works at the store. Anne made a delicious lunch but there was no chocolate for dessert. After a walk like that I needed some. So I came home and baked these.
The best chocolate chip cookies (in my opinion) are moist and chewy and full of walnuts.
It was a big batch so I intend to share them with you in the store this Saturday. The secret – in my opinion – for the best chocolate chip cookies is walnuts. If you tell me the secret ingredient (walnuts) then you won’t have to pay HST plus you get to have one of my delicious cookies. (Just want to know you’re paying attention)

Just use your regular recipe and throw in a package of walnuts. Must use butter – not shortening – also. Enjoy this snowy weekend.
