This is what we wait for all year! 

With the season comes new summer hours for Aphrodite. From this Sunday, June 28 onwards Aphrodite will be open every Sunday from 12 – 5 pm. We will also be open every Friday during July and August until 8 pm. We’re inspired to do so by the ANTIGONISH ART FAIR that takes place every second Friday starting this week, June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7 and August 21. This is a wonderful event at Chisholm Park (on the corner of Hawthorne and Main) to showcase local artists and features delicious street food of a variety of origins.

While we’re at it please mark you calendars for Thursday, July 9. That’s when we hold the annual HIGHLAND GAMES STREET FESTIVAL. There are more vendors and musicians than ever before and APHRODITE will host the DOG AND HUMAN Fashion Show at 2 pm on our front lawn. More to come on that!

We have a fabulous summer ahead of us. Let’s make the most if it here in our downtown!
