APHRODITE

Aphrodite is an odyssey of art and fashion celebrating five years in the heart of downtown Antigonish. Since it’s inception in 2012 Aphrodite set out to bring authentic and well designed fashions from across Canada and the world to the northern Nova Scotia. Over time the store has become a destination for women around the province who travel to Antigonish specifically to shop at Aphrodite. Others return from more distant points in Canada and the USA during visits to family or on business.  Here’s what some of our Halifax customers have said about their experience.

“Just got back from a short jaunt to Aphrodite from Halifax. I am all set for the fall with some wonderful new clothes that will see me through the season and into winter in style. I always find something distinctive at Aphrodite that I never see anywhere else. Inevitably, the clothes I receive compliments on have come from Aphrodite. The staff is not “high pressure” but are there to help you find something that you will simply love and feel special in. I don’t have the time or patience to go to different stores to put an outfit together so Aphrodite is the perfect answer for me. “Thank you so much for the enjoyable shopping experience (a shopping spree in fact!) that we had at Aphrodite last Friday. This was my second visit to the lovely, tastefully decorated old house on Main Street. I am always rather anxious when I embark with my friend on the two hours plus drive from Halifax that there might be nothing that I like in the store. I should know better! The drive through sunshine and forest was enjoyable and well worth it as we found a trove of lovely clothes for every occasion, and at reasonable prices.
The help in choosing and advising us was charming and unpressured, and the quiet politesse from the girls working in the background was sweet.
I love all my new clothes!  Sorry to have left you with the jumble of clothes that we tried on and discarded, not because we did not like them but because of size and fit and because I had to set a limit on my spending!
Your jewellery too is beautiful and original; the “Buy Canadian”  principle is apparent in your choices.

I live two hours away from this store, but I frequently make the trip to shop there because I enjoy the Aphrodite experience so much. Many of my favourite pieces are from this store.
